 Moms Club Mission Statement

The mission of the Adum Moms Club is to foster a sense of community and friendship among the families of Adum PreK-8 through social events and activities. While we are primarily a social organization, Adum Moms Club members will also support the school’s PTSA, Foundation, students, and faculty as needed throughout the year. We may also selectively engage in initiatives that support our school’s students and teachers. Membership in the Adum Moms Club is free and open to all mothers and guardians of students at Adum PreK-8.

WELCOME BACK, AVIATOR MAMAS!

We hope you all had a great summer break and feel recharged as we get ready to soar into another successful year at Adum PreK-8!

Our first year as a new school and as a new club with no framework in place taught us a lot of lessons, and the biggest one was to keep this club SOCIAL. That was the intention from the very beginning, so we are sticking to our roots as we continue to build a strong school community, and hopefully give you an opportunity to make new friends.

Our social chairs, Laura Fender and Tricia Boucek, are planning some exciting events for you this year. This is a great place to stay up-to-date on our events, along with the Adum Moms Club Facebook Group and joining our email list. (Keep scrolling to see what's been announced so far!)

A few updates about what to expect in 2025: Instead of a monthly happy hour at a restaurant, we may host a different type of event, like a group workout session or even dinner. Details are still coming together, but we will share updates here and on the Adum Moms Club Facebook group once event dates are finalized.

We are also planning on bringing back the family-friendly events, including the Adum Trunk-or-Treat and a collab with the Dads Club for a night at a Tampa Bay Sun game!

These are just a few things in the works as of right now, so come on by our little slice of the internet here for updates or visit our Facebook group.

We hope you've had a wonderful start to the school year!

Here are a few things to keep in mind if you are planning to participate as a "TRUNKER":

  • Please register using this form by October 10th. We have a limited number of spaces, and they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Trunk Themes: Get creative, but also choose trunk themes wisely. Keep in mind that we are a Pre-K through 8th-grade public school.
  • Business Rules: If you are a business hoping to participate as a trunk, please reach out to our Foundation to learn more about how you may participate.
  • Trunk Set Up: Participating vehicles may arrive as early as 4:30 p.m. in the teacher parking lot to set up. For the safety of fellow trunks and potential early birds, we ask that all vehicles be in their assigned parking spaces no later than 5:00 p.m. This is for the safety of your fellow trunkers and potential early birds.
  • Candy Rules: Please only provide individually wrapped, store-bought candy. No homemade treats.
  • Allergy awareness: If offering allergy-friendly treats (e.g., nut-free, gluten-free), mark them clearly. You can use a teal pumpkin or sign to indicate allergy-friendly options.
  • Non-edible treats are welcome, too!  Kids love pencils, erasers, glow sticks, bracelets, bookmarks, stickers, notepads, bouncy balls, and fake tattoos. Have your kids shop with you for ideas!
  • Our inaugural event was a HUGE success last year, so make sure you bring plenty of extra candy and/or non-edible treats. Many of us ran out last year and had to resupply! Remember--we are learning as we grow, so we humbly ask for your patience.

Got questions? We have answers! Please email Adum Moms Club president Laura Byrne: momsclub@myadum.com or PTSA president Kristen White: ptsapresident@myadum.com
