Mental Health Resources
There are many challenges military students face due to their unique situation, such as having a parent deployed for extended periods, changing schools, and leaving friends. Your child’s School Student Services staff, i.e. School Counselor, School Psychologist, and/or School Social Worker can provide support and share resources to assist during these challenging times. Families can also visit the HCPS Mental Health Matters site for additional resources.

Lift Off: Supporting Military Families
Our incoming families can expect to be welcomed by our Lift Off: Supporting Military Families mentors. We have student mentors that are selected from within the school. These mentors will assist in the transition of new students to our Adum Aviators Family. We have mentors throughout PYP and MYP to assist with integration and introduction into our community. Mentors are students who have an understanding of both Adum PK-8 Magnet School and military transitions.
